My Project
The students at our school learn in various ways because they are from different parts of the Autism spectrum! One of the many things that our students love, is sensory objects.
On our wish list, we added various sensory texture strips that the students can place on their very own desks.
To cater to each of our student's unique personalities and preferences, we added animal shapes, color strips with relaxing words, and pure tactile strips. The variations will help gain the interest of our students.
Once the students have picked their very own sensory strips, the students will then decide on how they want to decorate their desks with the strip. By having their own sensory strip on their desk, the students can reach for it whenever they are feeling a shift in their moods.
This provides autonomy and independence in regulating themselves. Please help us provide these strips for our students!
