Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our special needs learners often have sensory needs that make learning in the classroom difficult. By increasing exposure to a sensory-rich environment, my students can engage in classroom activities more meaningfully and have a foundation to exhibit appropriate behaviors.

The sensory materials requested will help my students manage their emotions, support their focus, and be used to reward positive behavior.

By the end of the day my students are exhausted and it would be amazing to have a sensory exploration block at the end. All materials will help my students relax through sensory stimulation. My students will be able to use their creativity and explore their sense of touch.
