This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The manipulatives in this project will be used on a daily basis as each child is unique and has a different need.

These sensory items will be throughout the classroom and or in an area where students can have access to them as they need them.

These items will help students ease their body and or mind as they learn how to adapt to their sensory needs. Each child is different and these items will help each child meet their different need. Sensory awareness of what our body and or mind is very crucial at a young age as we they are learning more about themselves.

Sensory exploration can help children develop sensory awareness. By touching, smelling, tasting, hearing, and seeing, children can begin to understand their sensory experiences.
