This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Autistic students are sometimes challenged in maintaining emotional stability.

I want to create a more inclusive K-5 art classroom for ALL students.

As their teacher, I want to ensure students of all backgrounds and abilities are respected and included in the classroom environment and hands on activities.

Sensory art promotes communication, emotional growth and sensory integration.

Materials provided will allow special needs students to explore and make art while expressing feelings and creatively participating in dramatic play. Just imagine these special students solving an art task in their own unique way, showing expression and feelings through their art and having fun working with their peers!
