Sensory and Social Skills

Help me give my students awesome learning centers in our (finally) in person classroom! I hope to create strong centers for sensory development, social skills, and rewarded play time by providing students with activities like magna-tiles and watercolors.

My Students

I have the honor of teaching some of the most intelligent, empathetic, growth-oriented, kind, and curious students you will ever meet! My students also exemplify immense resilience as they navigate virtual learning through a global pandemic. Our school serves low-income students from all over the city of Nashville, TN.

My students bring joy and love of learning into our classroom in spite of experiencing hardships.

Our school is determined to set our student's on the path to college success early. We are committed to cultivating problem solvers and life-long learners in order to see all of our students reach their full potential!

My Project

My sweet first graders were virtual for almost a year now, and we are finally going back into the classroom!

I want to give my students strong learning centers to develop their social skills and sensory development.

My students have missed the physical classroom space where relationships are formed and hands on activities are readily accessible. I want to provide spaces in our classroom where students can learn how to share with their peers, practice habits of discussion, and use their brains and bodies. Activities like alphabet blocks, watercolors, and building tiles will be such a gift to have in our classroom to strengthen these areas!
