My Project
Sensory and fine motor supports are essential tools that assist with students' participation within Occupational Therapy sessions. Many students on my caseload have sensory processing difficulties that impact their attention and engagement in the classroom and during OT sessions. Sensory supports such as weighted animals, fidgets, and calm strips can greatly improve the participation of students in their educational setting. Fine motor supports such as adapted scissors can allow students to be more independent with their academic work. This project would allow me to have the tools to empower my students to reach their full potential.
