This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in our classroom benefit from using sensory tools to help them regulate and stimulate their senses, which ultimately helps support their academic and social-emotional learning in and out of the classroom. The sensory items in this project will help our students feel more alert, calm, and focused throughout the school day. The stress balls, fidget spinners, magnetic putty, pop-it puzzles, water beads, etc. will aid in increasing focus and attention during whole group, small group, and independent work. These tools will help provide a classroom environment that supports all learners. By donating to our project, you will help students regulate their strong emotions and help them calm their sensory system, which will benefit their academic and social-emotional learning, while also having fun throughout the school day!
