My students are unique and special in their own way. They all have amazing personalities and their own learning styles. They challenge me to think outside of the box when presenting new information in order to be certain they can all understand and grasp the concepts being taught. They are a cheerful bunch who loves coming to school each day and believes learning is fun! They are kind and caring friends who have built a sense of family within our class. They always try their best and they make me want to come to school each day too!
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to choose where they would like to sit to be comfortable and allow for easier learning within the confines of our classroom. All students learn best in different ways; by providing flexible seating I can reach more learning styles and optimize learning potential. The choice of seating allows the students to feel more in control of their own learning and be comfortable within their classroom environment. Learning environments have a direct impact on student achievement. Many flexible seating options stimulate students' sense of touch. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information. Sensory input is especially helpful for students with special needs. Flexible and sensory seating helps make learning fun which supports my ultimate goal as a teacher: to create a love for learning within each of my students!
