In the words of Immanuel Kant, "All our knowledge begins with the senses." As infants, we first begin to learn about the world through our senses: touch, smell, sight, hearing, and taste. For young children whose bodies have trouble processing the information gained through the senses, it makes learning so much more difficult and life so much more uncomfortable!
A large part of education for students with sensory processing difficulties is providing materials and experiences that either increase sensory input or reduce it depending on the needs of the individual child.
Here is where you can help!
Your donations will provide materials to help students with sensory processing disorder. The weighted toys and materials included in this project are all designed to support students with difficulties in processing sensory information through their bodies.
