This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Second graders are beyond special and unique. They are full of individual needs and characteristics that have been greatly impacted by COVID-19. Many of my students are far below grade level not only academically, but social emotionally, due to the absence of face to face learning. As a first year teacher I am not only learning how to teach them the grade level material, the resources will help me cater to their own individual academic learning needs, and social-emotional needs. The materials like the math manipulatives and the variety of books will help me have the resources I need to continue to be the teacher my students need especially after the significant impact of COVID-19.
