My students need the exercise bands to give them the ability to move and focus at the same time, wobble cushions and pencil toppers. These items will give all my students the ability to get needed sensory input!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How can we close the achievement gap when students do not have the necessary materials to succeed? A review of student grades and school-wide data indicate that students with disabilities are the lowest performing sub-group at our school.
My students are hard working students of which many come from high poverty and have experienced much trauma in their short lives.
They need access to a wide range of curriculum and technology so they can succeed and become the wonderful people I know they can be!
My Project
These sensory tools are already in good use, in my mind that is! I just need you to get them to me. My students need headphones for computer use on our Chrome Books as well as to tune out loud noises. The pencil toppers are giving my students oral motor input in a safe and more age appropriate way. The sit n move cushions are for my "movers and shakers" as well as my students on the spectrum. The resistance bands will give my students my ability to move in their desk and still focus on instruction. Please help us!
