My Project

As a school based occupational therapist, I help to support a variety of special education students in their classrooms. The typical classroom routine and environment can be challenging for students with sensory processing difficulties to attend and engage in learning activities with their peers. With the use of supportive equipment and strategies, these students can remain in their classroom in an environment that allows them to be successful.

Each student is wonderfully unique, which means that their individual sensory needs can vary drastically.

This often requires trying multiple options before we find the optimal strategies for every individual child. By purchasing a variety of different seating options and sensory equipment, this allows the school team to tailor each child's workspace to their needs.
