I am requesting materials for my students sensory needs, writing needs, and crafting materials. I am requesting weighted lap pads for my students who need weighted materials for calming and being able to sit in a chair to tend to their task. I have 2 students with behavior plans that benefit from weighted materials in class. Since these students have trouble sitting to complete their school work, I think they would benefit from weighted lap pads. I also requested noise making toys for a student that has audio sensory needs. Toys that make noises and tool help calm this student when he is showing signs of distress. I am requesting shortened pencils, because I have several students who have an accommodation for a shortened pencil for writing in their educational plans. Material such as laminate, velcro, markers, and paper are used for our weekly craft that is themed around our subject in science and social studies. My students look forward to creating art to display outside for their peers to see.
