My Project
Each month in preschool, we draw self-portraits. Each month, we notice growth in our students as they draw themselves. When they are drawing, they are unknowingly working on their fine motor, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
Our classroom is diverse, and we want to make sure that the children can represent themselves and their skin color when they are making their self-portrait.
Crayola provides colors of the world in marker, crayon, and colored pencil form. Additionally, we are asking for oil pastels and velour paper to draw self-portraits exploring this media as well.
