My Students

I do love my students! This year I have quite a special and unique class. I have 16 students, and only 5 of them are girls. That is a load of boys! Academically, only 5 of my students are grade level. These are students who were effected by our shutdown during their 1st grade school year, and they are we are still seeing effects of it. It has been my challenge to try to bridge this gap and help more students achieve mastery at their level.

My Project

Recently, our science core was changed. The new 4th grade core is completely different than the concepts I previously taught. I have been in the process of transitioning to this new science core. These materials would greatly make a difference in helping my students grasp onto these new science concepts that I am now teaching. Many of my students are challenged with academics and having hands-on materials would assist their understanding. Some of the new concepts I teach are energy, waves, fossils, earth systems, etc. As I have stated, I do not yet have many materials to teach this new science core. With the assistance of these products, it would help deepen the understanding of my students with in-person learning.

Again, I would appreciate any materials that I could receive to help build my science unit.

With this addition, my students could gain a better understanding of this new science core!
