My Students
We have a diverse school with many needs.
We have students that are gifted and talented and need to be challenged.
We have students with learning disabilities that need extra time, support, and attention in order to be successful. We have students of all races and backgrounds. We have students with ADD/ADHD, autism, emotional disturbances, and other disabilities. Each child is precious and valued and each has their own unique talents and abilities. All deserve a good education and the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and loving environment.
My Project
I want to give each child a comfortable place to sit around the classroom when reading with partners and with groups of students, as well as when we sit on the carpet for group discussions, calendar corner, Heggerty Phonemic Awareness, and with our shared reading as a whole class.
When students feel comfortable and relaxed they can focus on what we as a class will be doing on the carpet.
The students will feel like they can stay on their seats without the uncomfortable feeling of moving around and not paying attention to what we are learning at the time. Love these.
