Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The primary goal of providing college essential items to students is to facilitate their academic success and holistic development. By equipping students with college basic items, we aim to create an inclusive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to excel. Additionally, this initiative seeks to alleviate financial barriers and promote equity by ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds have equal access to essential items regardless of their socioeconomic status.

Items such as bed sheets, water bottles, pens, and laundry baskets are all simple ways we can improve students college experience by allowing them to focus less on meeting their basic needs and more on their academics and campus life.

Time management is a critical skill for college success and organizational tools such as planners and calendars help students effectively manage their schedules. These tools instill discipline and accountability, empowering students to balance their academic responsibilities with extracurricular activities and personal commitments. Kitchen supplies to help save money on eating out as often as possible.

Each of our students at LPSR bring unique talents, experiences, and aspirations to their prospective college communities, enriching the learning environment and contributing to its diversity. What makes our students special is their resilience, determination, and eagerness to learn and grow. Despite facing various challenges and obstacles, they demonstrate a steadfast commitment to their academic pursuits and a willingness to overcome adversity.
