This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When I was in middle school, I was one of those quiet students who worked independently without being prompted by the teacher. I brought my own supplies and never asked someone else for a pencil. I got started on work and never needed to be redirected. There are many students like that in middle school - students who quietly work hard, never cause problems, and require very little attention from the teacher. As a teacher, I truly appreciate these students and believe that they deserve more attention and reward for their independence and hard work.
I believe that more positive attention should be directed at students who are quiet and often get overlooked.
These are students who make a teacher's days a little easier and a lot brighter. When these students win Kahoots!, got started without prompting, or just perform a kind deed, I would like to give them a little treat and a whole lot of love.
