My Students
I teach Science to 96 amazing 3rd graders in a low-income community in Philadelphia. Online learning has been a struggle for our students, with obstacles like no computers or internet available. Yet even in these uncertain times, they've been stepping up to the plate and we've been producing great Science experiments at home.
My Project
Every day in class my students learn how to apply what they're learning in Science to real-world phenomenas around them. Since I won't get to say goodbye to my students or celebrate all their hard work this year, I want to make sure to still send my love and show them how proud I am of each one of them through these difficult times. We do all our learning in Science journals, so I want to send my students small Science journals so they can continue observing the world around them this summer as well as a pencil with a personalized message letting them know "You Are Your Own Phenomena!"
