This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I have an amazing group of dedicated students who are especially service-oriented. They are eager to spearhead a heartfelt project to bring joy and comfort to local nursing home residents.

To spread cheer and support for some of our community's most vulnerable citizens, we plan to create handmade cards and care packages filled with uplifting items.

To make this project a reality, we need various art supplies to make the cards. Specifically, we require cardstock for crafting the cards, markers, and gel pens. We are also asking for different types of vinyl to make stencils for the cards, along with designs that stick without glue. The Cricut mat and tools will allow us to use our previously donated die-cut machine to make the cards and designs. Students will work after school to create the cards and mail/deliver them to a local nursing home.

Your contribution of these materials would greatly aid us in our mission to brighten the days of those in our community who could use a little extra kindness.
