Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am fortunate to work with a group of Title 1 students who are resilient, curious, and eager to learn. Despite the challenges they face, they approach each day with determination and enthusiasm. This CIMI trip offers them a unique opportunity to experience hands-on science, teamwork, and nature—an opportunity they might not otherwise have.
The sleeping bags, toiletries, and snacks we are requesting are essential for ensuring that every student can fully participate in this enriching experience without worry.
Many of my students come from families with limited resources, and providing these basic necessities will remove any barriers to their participation. A comfortable sleeping bag ensures that students will be rested and ready for the learning experiences ahead, while toiletries help maintain hygiene and confidence throughout the trip.
My goal is to ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed on this trip, fostering an environment of learning, exploration, and collaboration. By providing these essential items, we’re giving them the chance to engage fully in the trip’s educational activities and create lasting memories.
