My Students
Hello! The student cubers at our school recently went to a Rubik's Cube Tournament where they placed first! These students are excited to take their teamwork further, to the state competition in the spring. The students at our elementary school are from a variety of socioeconomic statuses. Many of our students receive free or reduced-price lunches.
Our students are highly motivated by the Rubik's Cube.
In order for us to be competitive at the state level, we are hoping to have a set of "speed" Rubik's Cubes.
My Project
Our Rubik's Cube team is preparing to compete at the state tournament in the spring. Every year when we go to the tournament, we see other teams who are competing with the tournament approved "speed" cubes. My students always look with envious eyes, and this year I'm hoping that they'll be able to compete with the same type of Rubik's Cubes.
At the tournament, students work in teams of eight, to solve twenty-five Rubik's Cubes, as fast as they can.
We currently have a partial set of speed cubes, thanks to Donors Choose. We will be able to use these cubes each year, with our teams. The impact will last for years to come. Please help me complete the set, and send my students to competition with confidence.
