This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from Southeast of Houston, Texas, a place known for factories, gangs, and poverty, however Southeast Houston is a beautiful community of love and culture. My students care about their community and are empathetic towards the world around them. Many of them haven't experienced the world but hunger for knowledge and opportunities to experience life and different cultures. My students inspire me, motivate me, and push me to be the best person, teacher, mentor and I thank them for that every day. My students have so much potential to do great things and I will do my part to see them grow and become all that they can be.

My Project

I am a fairly new teacher and I am always looking for ways to empower my students especially since I teach at the high school I attended. I know the struggles of my students and I know that by attending Empower Educators Conference, I can provide my students with resources, tools, and strategies to combat life and school issues. My students need motivation and I am willing to learn anything to build up my students. My students deserve to have a teacher that does anything they can to push, support, and motivate them. If I can make a difference in their life and make them better, strong people that is a huge step in their academic and personal lives.
