My Students

I try to make learning engaging, meaningful, relevant and rigorous. This comes with thinking outside the box and continuing to grow as a learner and educator myself. This opportunity to attend professional development will enrich my students and the curriculum I teach. I am always looking for ways to become a better educator for my students. School should be a place students love, and making learning fun is an important way to build a love of learning and challenge students in the classroom.

My Project

This conference is all about making instruction more engaging and rigrorous for students. I am looking for ways to improve my instruction and to make school more meaningful and fun for my students! This conference particularly focuses on strategies to engage and challenge students. I had the pleasure of visiting the Ron Clark Academy where two of the presenters of this conference work. I have also read their book The Wild Card. These two educators inspire me, and I want to attend this specific training to apply what I learned at my time at Ron Clark Academy and by reading and studying the Wild Card. Attending this training will help me become the best teacher I can be for my students.
