My Students

My school is a Title I School in an urban, public district facing many needs and challenges every day. However, our "Pioneer Spirit" is alive - we work hard to stay ahead of the changing educational demands of our communities, students, and families. Our students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. In my school building, students receive a breakfast and a lunch every day. Despite our many challenges, every student I have encountered in the community has a special spirit about them.

My students are inspiring, loving, curious, and ready to do their best.

I am excited to give them the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in our classroom and beyond!

My Project

I made it a personal goal for myself to participate in a professional teaching conference that I was passionate about! I have researched and admired all that GYTO has to offer - engaging, exciting, real strategies I can use daily to invigorate my teaching style!

The best part about participating in this conference would be that I could share my experiences with my colleagues!

I truly believe that WE are each other's best resource in our profession. I love observing, learning, collaborating, and growing together! So, not only would this experience benefit me and my students, it would help other teachers grow as well!
