This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The sixth graders had a meeting to talk about strategies for calming down when they are having a tough time. They brainstormed ideas for items that they would like to have in their "think space."

This will be a space in each classroom where students can take a break if they need self-regulation.

This is a student-designed project. Hopefully having ownership of this space will help them use it appropriately and have to miss less class time if they are having a difficult time at school or home.
