Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in this project will help give students the tools needed to learn their best. My students do best when given opportunities to manipulate objects with their hands. Using fidgets, wonder wands, and focusing tools will do just that! This helps them overcome attention and focusing difficulties. My students enter the classroom and immediately feel that the environment is suited to their needs and organized in a way that will help them to do their very best. To better meet social emotional needs, students will use emotion sliders to recognize their needs and share them with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals.

The tools in this project are intended to aid in self regulation, provide them with the ability to focus better and handle emotions in a safe and non-disruptive way.

Use of classroom fidgets, and mood meters to recognize their emotions and cope with them will be highly beneficial to all students.
