My Project
The glue, embroidery hoops, and other materials will give my students the opportunity to learn a new creative art form that works with fibers. Students will work in mediums and techniques they have never explored. They will learn about the art and history of Batik and understand the idea of creating a resist. These fabric art pieces will help my students express themselves in new ways. They will focus on images and symbols that are important to them. The classes will share their work with each other and create a quilt that showcases both the individuality and diversity of the group.
