Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Self-Contained classroom supplies got taken and/or lost during classroom changes so we are building classroom supplies from scratch. I have diverse learners and disabilities from intellectual disabilities to orthopedic impaired. I want to supply a variety of materials that will allow for several alternative learning for my diverse needs within my classroom. This material includes a classroom rug in which we would have our morning meetings and reading sessions. The visual communication book is for our two nonverbal students in which to better communicate with them. The wobble cushions and fidget toys allow our diverse students to fidget while also listening to a lesson. The slide and learn number lines would help my students with number succession and math problems. We need dry erase markers so students can communicate on their white boards during lessons. We need more glue sticks because we practice mobility skills during cut/paste activities. The pencil holders and mini loop scissors will help our mobility-impaired students to better write and cut using paper. We utilize stickers as a reward system for completing work or behaving in extraordinary ways. Please help us make our classroom more interactive by helping us get classroom materials for our diverse learners. We would be so grateful for the help as we have no money in the school budget for supplies for my classroom.
