This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are all over-aged, under-credited individuals looking to change their lives for the better by earning their high school credits and graduating. Unfortunately, most of these students have faced significant barriers to success and continue to face them every day.

By helping students meet their basic needs and practice self care, you are helping them to overcome barriers, feel seen and cared for, and continue to want to show up and eventually graduate and start their lives.

When students feel cared for, they become more successful. By helping my students receive basic care such as snacks, health and hygiene products, and stress relief it will help them to feel safe, cared for, and eventually to reach their goal of graduating.
