Help me give my students self care products. Many of my students are newcomers. They arrive with the challenges of home, finances and food. And on top of it all…self care.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students are newcomers. They arrive with nothing. No home, money, clothing … food. And while our school is a warm, safe amd caring learning environment, our students return to their “homes” where they have minimal to no resources. Some of our students are in obvious need of self care products. And I can imagine that those products don’t come before food or rent. To be able to provide them with some simple self care products would mean the world to them and help them look and feel better not just in school but …in life.
