Creativity, imagination, problem solving, and collaboration are key components to authentic learning in our classroom. I have high expectations for every student. It is my responsibility to provide a variety of learning opportunities to help each child meet or exceed their goals. Our school is a K-2 school with approximately 1,100 children enrolled.
We have a diverse population of ethnic backgrounds, a growing ELL population, a high percentage of students who need accelerated learning opportunities, and students who need reading and math interventions to help them establish a firm foundation for successful learning.
My Project
We have moved to virtual learning in our school district, and I need a way for students to submit their classwork and receive immediate feedback from me. A Seesaw Plus subscription will provide a kid-friendly program where all students can engage in meaningful activities and submit them to me.
I will be able to provide feedback and send the activity back for students to make corrections if needed.
Seesaw Plus also allows me to create and save up to 500 activities at a time. I can engage my students in learning through journals where they can easily add text, pictures, audio, video, and drawings and other interactive teacher-created activities.
Seesaw Plus is an excellent accountability tool for students while allowing me to create meaningful paperless assignments during virtual learning. Since Seesaw is completely digital, parents can easily access and view what their child has done at any time and comment on their work.
