This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school has a large influx of asylum seeking families. They are new to New York, new to the US, and new to our school system. They don't have all of the necessary supplies they need to transition into school life.

This project will ensure that new asylum seeking students get the basic school supplies they need to survive and thrive.

This project includes basic school supplies like notebooks, pencils, and paper. Also included are sketch books and art supplies so these students can express themselves artistically.
