My Students
Our students are from all over the world! It's amazing to come to school each day and see the interaction like a mini United Nations hard at work making this world a more tolerable and positive place.
In Lowell, Massachusetts our public schools are literally a melting pot from all over the world.
We have Cambodian, Nigerian, Brazilian, Iranian & more recently Syrian immigrants and refugees, just to name a few of our ethnicities. We are also an Urban School that meets the socioeconomic requirement that offers our students free breakfast and lunch. Some of our students struggle with socioeconomic issues along with emotional and learning difficulties.
It is a total team effort in our school from administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, social work & guidance, nurse, custodians, cafeteria staff, parent volunteers, resource officers and more to keep our school moving forward and our students learning in a safe nurturing yet challenging environment.
My Project
We are midyear through a successful fun year of learning and are in need of basic school supplies to keep us pushing ahead full steam. Pencils, pencil sharpeners and drawing paper for creative projects are completely depleted just to name a few! We use these supplies every day, card stock for matching games with vocabulary to start new units and markers and pens to use on our ELA & Social Studies projects would be greatly appreciated! We appreciate all our donors' efforts in making our year successful and any of the supplies will truly help us get to the end of our school year!
