My Project
Having a resource library available to students gives them an opportunity to interact with topics that are classroom specific. Frequently, my students hear about something or a topic gets brought up during discussion or they are simply clueless about project ideas and this resource library will provide opportunities for them to go beyond what we are doing in class. The books chosen focus on LEGO and programming. The LEGO books are a student favorite and frequently are taken off the shelf to use with the LEGO bricks. After a lull, students have become interested in learning to program using Python again. These titles will add to the favorites we already have and make it possible for more students to enjoy the topics.
Having a resource library will be important to each of my students.
They can go beyond what they learn in a 40 minute class period and explore on their own. My students can further develop their interest in our classroom topics such as designing and building and coding. They can gain inspiration and learn ways to reach out beyond our classroom walls. These books will take students beyond our classroom and turn boring into EXCITING.
