My Project
I have my own classroom this year and I want my students to connect what they are learning in World History to the places that history took place. My project plan is to surround my classroom with a variety of interactive visuals that will help my students with geography skills to be connected to the history lessons that they will be learning.
I have found that having many educational and interactive learning visuals in the classroom helps create a more positive, effective learning space.
I am requesting a few posters that will be used to help students learn about world flags and important world history figures.
I am requesting a floating globe that I will allow students to interact with during lessons.
I am requesting some pencil/classroom supply globe containers that I will keep extra pencils and other supplies for students that need to borrow those for the day.
I am requesting a timeline book that I will use as a resource to enhance lessons by providing visual reference and context to the world history lessons.
I am requesting a large wall map that will cover an entire wall in the classroom, being used for in-class references.
And finally I am requesting a very unique item that will be at the front of my classroom and be used as both a centerpiece in lessons while also enhancing the overall classroom environment. I am requesting 36 inch floor standing world globe with tripod. I believe this item will truly enhance the classroom environment, making a truly unique world history classroom that students will be able to feel comfortable in. It will also be a great piece to use during lectures and group work where students can interact and use this standing globe to help with overall geography skills.
