My Students

The students in my classroom are great kids who often need that extra encouragement to remember to do their best and stay on track. Many of them come with very weak math skills, and it is important to have current technology and hands-on ways to make class more enjoyable and to help them learn important concepts at a deeper level. I firmly believe that confidence and depth of understanding are important keys to success in math, and I try to foster both!

My Project

Many of my 9th grade students enter with very weak math skills, and as a result, very low confidence. It is helpful to have fun, creative, hands-on ways to teach the concepts that are so important to success in the more advanced math classes that lie ahead for them. Manipulatives and games are a fun way to teach and reinforce those concepts.

Confidence and depth of understanding are two important keys to success in math!

This project will help me provide both in my classroom for many years to come. My students and I thank you in advance for your support!
