My students need to be able to experience history. The Twilight Zone addresses multiple historical topics and it requires an external DVD player to run.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Gianninoto's classroom raised $171

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are at risk, low income students that require dedication and most importantly, motivation. I teach many special needs students that need to see history in order to understand it. Video motivates students because now they have that background knowledge that low income students lack.
My school needs all the help it can get financially.
Special needs students and low income students need visuals to enthrall and excite them to learn. They lose interest in learning quickly so we need every every tool necessary that will grab their attention. Unfortunately my low income school cannot afford to provide these much needed differentiated learning tools.
My Project
The Twilight Zone provides a window to look into such topics as nuclear war, race, the death penalty, holocaust, and dictatorships. My students will be able to make their own stories to describe and teach lessons based on historical topics. They will also be able to understand the readings more because visuals aid student understanding, especially special needs students.
The Twilight Zone doesn't only help teach historical topics but it more importantly teaches students the warnings from history.
My low income, special needs students need exposure to the dangers of dictatorship and the Holocaust so that they will have the civics background to make them better citizens.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
