My Project
Our project, “Seeds of Change”, empowers students to take action in keeping our Earth clean, green, and beautiful through the creation of a vibrant school garden. This student-led initiative involves planning, planting, and maintaining a garden filled with flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Students will work together to prepare the soil, plant seeds, care for the garden, and eventually harvest the produce. They will also lead educational campaigns to promote sustainability, recycling, and healthy eating habits throughout the entire school community. Older students will go into our younger classes and talk about plant life and why it is so important to us. They will bring insects into the class to show students the role they play in plant growth or death. The garden will serve as a living classroom, encouraging hands-on learning about science, nutrition, and environmental stewardship for all our school community.
The community we aim to serve is our entire school — students, teachers, and families — by transforming a shared space into a hub of beauty, learning, and wellness.
This garden will offer fresh produce for school and community use, while the flowers will brighten our environment and attract pollinators. To make this vision possible, we’re seeking support for essential materials like soil, seeds, tools, compost bins, and raised garden beds. These resources will allow our students to take full ownership of the project, building leadership skills while making a lasting, positive impact on their school and the Earth.
