Help me give my students help seeing examples of problems solved via a document camera. Also, I have asked for cleaning supplies for our return to the classroom we can clean the desk surfaces to avoid Covid.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in 7th and 8th grade and attend an older Title I public middle school in Southern California. TitleI schools are in areas with low socioeconomic areas and receive federal funding so all its students receive free or reduced lunch. Many of our students do not enjoy math when they come into our 8th-grade classes. They have many outside factors that distract their learning. Teaching online will be a challenge to engage students and motivate their participation. When we enter the classroom it is in an older building and cleanliness is always a challenge.
Our student body is very diverse and supports a variety of cultures and languages.
Students in my class range from gifted and talented to students with learning disabilities, and everything in between. This project will help with the large number of students I am teaching. My ultimate goal is to improve the online environment, provide needed supplies, and keep the classroom clean and inviting for learning when we return to the classroom.
My Project
The document projector will help the student during our online instruction. I will project lessons so students can see examples of how to do the mathematics taught. The cleaning supplies will help when we return to the classroom. The cleaning wipes will be used to lean the desk and tables prior to the student entering the classroom. Due to the flu season and the COVID virus, the need to clean the surfaces frequently is necessary for the classroom to a safe place for learning. Please help my students at home and in the classroom.
