Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our student body consists of individuals from diverse and low-income backgrounds, many encountering daily obstacles. Every one of my students possesses a disability, which encompasses various types of learning, physical, and emotional challenges, and a significant number are on the autism spectrum. Despite these circumstances, they are incredibly enthusiastic about learning and share a deep passion for art and the history of art. As a committed and passionate Special Education Art Educator, I am always looking for ways to show my exceptional students the world of art. Whether it is showing them famous art pieces or taking them to a particular country via a video to see where the art was made, I love to find ways to enrich their learning.

Having an updated computer, such as the Lenovo Laptop, will allow me to create dynamic lessons, as well as enhance my students learning journey by showing them the bright and bold colors of a Matisse painting or being able to have world experiences such as a VIRTUAL walking tour through the Louvre in Paris, France.

The learning is endless and exciting!
