Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at the School of Authors. My students work hard at writing using paper and pencil, as well as on their devices. When my students finish their writing on devices, publishing is a problem. We do not have a printer to print and therefore post the work. This is especially true with my special needs students with dysgraphia who cannot write legibly and need their devices to express themselves through the written word.

My students are very proud of how hard they work on their writing, and they want to show it off to the world - or at the very least, show it off to the school community who passes by our bulletin board.

This is one reason why we need a classroom color copier. I want to print out my students' brilliant work.

In addition, we need a color printer to print hard copies of Google Classroom homework assignments. Sadly, a lot of my students do not have wifi at home and cannot do homework on devices. To persevere through this inequity, we need a copier so that my students can do the homework and be at the same level as the other students with wifi. In addition, I have some special needs students who do better with paper and pencil as opposed to the device.
