See It, Touch It, Learn It

Help me give my students materials that will meet their tactile learning needs. This includes a problem-solving STEM kit, What’s the Sound? Game, Alphabots, and other items.

My Students

There are 16 PreK students in my class who represent several different cultures. Two of the students have already been identified as having a special need; however, that does not keep them from interacting with their peers and learning new skills and information.

The students in my class benefit from having interactive materials that address a variety and learning styles.

My students are bilingual, which makes it easier for them to talk with classmates who are native English speakers. Students are able to learn new vocabulary when they engage in hands-on learning activities.

My Project

Hands-on materials are essential for the students in my class. The materials will allow them to engage in a variety of activities. The Alphabots will encourage the students to feel and manipulate letters of the alphabet. This will help them learn to recognize and identify letters.

Students will be able to use the sensory bags to develop fine motor skills as they can write letters, numbers, and shapes with their fingers.

As their fine motor strength develops, they will be able to hold a writing utensil appropriately when they begin to write and draw. What's the Sound? Mystery Capsules will target auditory learners. They will be able to listen to the sound and try to figure out what is inside the capsule.
