My Project
All Kindergarteners are excited to go to school. Learning letter names and sounds can be difficult. I have seen first hand how using magnetic letter tiles has sparked an "I can do it" reaction. It provides help in phonemic awareness and the development of sound-symbol correspondence and spelling. Having a hands-on, visual and tangible way to connect sounds to letters helps make a solid foundation for their reading and writing.
My goal is to use a variety of ways to teach letters, sounds and making words.
I want to engage the children more and make it fun while promoting a deeper learning and memory retention. I want to see my students become successful and with that success become strong learners.
My students come to school with little school experience. Many have never been to school. My students had their school closed down due to it not being safe. We were moved into a part of a middle school. So our classrooms are not made for elementary students. We have made it work and my students have not complained once. They are resilient! We were not able to move our supplies or learning tools. My students are such hard working, loving and kind people. I want to give them the best they deserve.
