Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are young, active and motivated learners. They live and attend school in an urban area with high crime. They look forward to learning in school, because it's the safest environment for them. Every year, I re-evaluate the needs of my classroom. I do this to make sure that my students are given the best opportunities to grow, even if it means purchasing items out of my own pocket.

My preschool children are thirsty for knowledge.

They deserve so much!

My Project

The materials I'm requesting are different poster packs with real life pictures. These pictures will assist me in teaching lessons about transportation, families, emotions and people with disabilities.

Children are curious and ask a lot of questions.

These poster packs of pictures will help my students develop an understanding about the world around them. The pictures will encourage children to ask more questions as well as strengthen their use of language. Each child in my classroom can benefit by these pictures. Many of the pictures they see will be unfamiliar to them. However, I hope to engage them into not just seeing it, but believing it too!
