Securing Focus: Cell Phone Locker for a Focused, Engaged Classroom

My Project
My students are bright, curious, and full of energy. They come to class with different learning styles and experiences, but one thing they all share is the daily challenge of staying focused in a world full of distraction especially from their phones. They thrive when given structure and support that helps them take ownership of their learning.
I am requesting a cell phone locker system and accessories (such as number tags, and key chains) to create a more focused and distraction-free learning environment.
With this locker, students can securely store their phones at the start of class and turn their attention to the lesson, their peers, and their own academic growth.
Phones have become a major distraction in the classroom, affecting participation, comprehension, and collaboration. This locker system will provide a respectful and organized way to manage devices, promoting responsibility, trust, and stronger engagement. Students will still have access to their phones after class, but during instruction, we’ll protect their focus and maximize learning time.
With fewer distractions, students will be more present, more collaborative, and more invested in their learning. The locker system supports classroom management while building habits that will benefit them beyond high school like time management and self control in tech heavy environments.
