My Project

For the past few years my school has welcomed new Spanish speaking students into our classroom. They are special because they are learning to feel at home and are eager to learn new words and concepts.

Since they are Emerging English Speakers, we want them to strengthen their mother tongue while accessing English in the classroom.

Since we don’t have much classroom books in our classroom libraries, my goal for this project is to ensure that the students have something familiar and inviting to read at hand during Independent Reading Time.
