My Project
Phonics is not only how we start our instructional day, but also a very important foundation to support student learning in all areas of learning. Skills students build in phonics become the basis for both reading and writing (and we all know that reading spreads into all subject areas, even math)!
I am requesting a Secret Stories class kit to provide additional support to my everyday phonics instruction.
According to their website, Secret Stories are the “secret” reasons WHY letters get together and make the sounds that they do in words. These materials will provide logical explanations for letter-sound behavior and will make phonics more accessible and predictable for all of my learners.
