Secret Stories: Phonics

My Project

Secret Stories is a brain-based approach to phonics that brings the study of words to life. This is done through an engaging and playful way that makes the students want to learn more and the phonics instruction sticks with them.

Secret Stories will provide my students the logical explanations for letter sound behavior that their brains crave.

These logical explanations are shared in the form of “secret” stories, which are the secret reasons why letters make all of the crazy sounds that they do when they get together in words. The “Secrets” will work seamlessly with my current reading and phonics program allowing my students to reach their full potential.
