Secret Life of Pre-K Students' Pets

My Project

When three and four year old children come to school for the first time, it can be exciting and scary. In order to help our little ones to have a secure and happy adjustment, I am asking for a variety of stuffed animals for them to choose from. Each child will be able to select their very own pet to keep! They will name their pet, show it around the classroom, take care of it, learning responsibility and kindness. They can describe their pet, tell us about their pet, what it likes to eat, and what it likes best about school. These pets will be used for sorting, counting and graphing activities.

Having their very own "pet" to take care of while at school, will help them with language skills, self-regulation, kindness and responsibility.
